K.A. Valentine is a storyteller & poet raised by Minnesota prairies and Carolinian humidity who writes about grief, memory, and the intersecting meanings of home. She holds a Bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Oregon and is an alumnus of The Heart of It writing retreat. Her poetry has been included or is forthcoming in Fruitslice, Prometheus Dreaming, and HNDL Magazine. Based in the PNW, she can usually be found doting on her two senior dogs and six delightful cats.
